independent and company-employed agents throughout Canada

Click2learn (Nasdaq:CLKS) today announced that Royal LePage Real Estate Services, Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Brascan Financial Corporation (TSX:BNN.A), and Canada's leading full service real estate company, has successfully deployed the Click2learn platform to deliver and manage Royal LePage University, realizing 150% growth in the corporate-wide learning initiative in a little under two years.

A long-time Click2learn customer, Royal LePage, began using Click2learn technology to develop Royal LePage University in late 1999. In just under two years, the number of students using Royal LePage University has increased rapidly, with more than 40% of Royal LePage's 9,000-plus realtor network participating. Currently, Royal LePage University offers more than 100 courses developed by leading content provider Thomson NETG on subjects such as sales, marketing, negotiations and technology. The company plans an upgrade to Aspen 2.0 in 2003. The platform's rich features and functionalities will enable Royal LePage to build upon the success of the company-wide initiative.

"By creating the pre-eminent online education resource for the Canadian real estate market, Royal LePage is using learning as a competitive differentiator in a highly competitive arena," said Kevin Oakes, chairman and CEO of Click2learn. "Click2learn's extensive experience in the real estate industry, coupled with Aspen's robust capabilities, provides Royal LePage with a comprehensive, integrated solution for its multi-faceted learning needs, and allows the company to serve multiple audiences through a single system. By helping it use learning strategically, Aspen also gives Royal LePage a significant advantage when it comes to increasing market share and generating additional revenue."

In addition to offering realtors opportunities for professional growth, Royal LePage University also assists them in fulfilling regulatory obligations, with many courses officially recognized by the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), the Real Estate Council of Alberta (RECA), and the New Brunswick Real Estate Association (NBREA) as contributing toward mandatory continuing education (CE) requirements for real estate agents. Recognition is pending in other jurisdictions.

Royal LePage also will use the Aspen Suite's modular architecture to track and recognize agents who have achieved the company's exclusive "e-agent(TM)" designation, identifying those who best incorporate technology tools into their real estate practices to provide a competitive advantage in meeting the needs of today's more sophisticated customers.

"Royal LePage has a proven track record of adopting technology to enhance our core business, and we wanted a learning technology partner that had a similar track record of success and pioneering spirit. As the first real estate company in Canada to offer its realtors online learning, we constantly strive to improve that resource, and Click2learn has enabled that effort at every turn," said Jennifer Foster, Director, Network Services at Royal LePage. "The enhanced functionality Aspen offers will allow a truly seamless user experience, including easier navigation, simplified third-party course integration, customization to reinforce corporate branding, and detailed tracking and reporting. Our continuing partnership with Click2learn has helped position Royal LePage as the benchmark for online learning in the Canadian real estate industry."
