With StorBlade 2GB Fibre Channel RAID, Optional Dual Failover,
Dual Power Supplies, Dual Blowers and Hot Swappable Drives,
JMR Brings Enterprise-l Level Functionality to a 1U Form Factor
JMR Electronics, a leading manufacturer of data storage solutions offering the industry's widest selection of Fibre Channel and SCSI storage systems, today announced its high availability 1U 2GB Fibre Channel RAID storage system, StorBlade(TM) FC RAID. The StorBlade product line is a breakthrough approach to rackmounted storage systems, and an ideal complement to server blades.
Designed to maximize available rack space without compromising on features or storage capacities, StorBlade delivers affordable and scalable storage systems in 2GB Fibre Channel or Ultra160 SCSI configurations.
The newest member of the StorBlade family is the StorBlade FC RAID. In development for the past six months, JMR is delivering the first high availability, feature packed and expandable Fibre Channel RAID storage system on the market. Requiring only 1U of rack space, StorBlade FC RAID features an integrated embedded RAID controller with up to 512MB battery backed cache, four hot swappable drive bays, dual power supplies and dual blowers. Included software allows the RAID controller to be easily configured for dedicated or global spare drive support, online capacity expansion, RAID level migration and disk array migration. By adding an additional StorBlade FC RAID, the StorBlade storage systems can provide failover.
The StorBlade redefines scalability with the ability to easily add units for a total of 60 and a storage capacity of 30 TBs.
"From its inception, StorBlade FC RAID has been designed to maximize available rack space without compromise, providing flexibility with a simple and affordable upgrade path to scale storage as requirements grow," Josef Rabinovitz, President and CEO, JMR Electronics, said. "With StorBlade FC RAID, we've created a highly available and fault tolerant storage system with an enterprise level feature set without the enterprise level cost."
Availability
StorBlade is available worldwide, with MSRP starting at $1,498 through JMR's comprehensive reseller channel.
