NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 2002
Recognition Caps Winning Streak of 4 "Leader" Listings from
Analyst Firm in the past 14 Months
Gartner, Inc.-- the world's leading research and advisory firm--has listed Deloitte Consulting as an external service provider ("ESP") "Leader" for its ability to execute and completeness of vision as a Business Process Transformation ("BPT") service provider.
Deloitte Consulting was one of only two firms listed as a BPT leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant(a), capping a streak of four leadership listings in the past 14 months. A significant portion of Gartner's BPT evaluation of Deloitte Consulting's BPT services was based on direct feedback from Deloitte Consulting clients.
"This BPT magic quadrant is a validation of our longstanding and progressive capabilities in the business process transformation arena. Our clients recognize the value we have created for them through BPT, which Gartner has captured in this evaluation," said Bob Dalton, principal with Deloitte Consulting.
The Gartner report, titled ESP Business Process Transformation Magic Quadrant, defines BPT services "as the planning and implementation of new business processes and enabling models and technologies that represent significant change to the client's existing business models." In the report, "Leaders" are described as "performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market."
The report stated that leaders such as Deloitte Consulting demonstrated positive attributes in 13 criteria, which included:
-- A strategic focus on BPT services over the last two years -- Investment to build BPT competencies -- Continuous refinement of their delivery models to leverage learnings and best practices -- A clear vision of market direction -- Compelling success stories, substantiated by client feedback.
"This is our fourth consecutive Magic Quadrant 'leader` listing from one of the world's leading research firms, a listing based on analysis of our offerings and feedback from our clients," said Doug McCracken, CEO of Deloitte Consulting. "Overall, five of our service and industry areas have received positive listings by Gartner in the past year, including our customer relationship and information technology strategy practices, and our e-Government services. This independent confirmation of the quality of our services demonstrates that our focus of delivering measurable results to clients is a winning strategy."
