Meanwhile, mlife (#16) the inscrutable new slogan for AT&T Wireless, stirred plenty of online interest as Web users searched for the meaning behind what mlife is all about. The Olympics (#3) also entered the top 10 this week. The most searched for Olympic athletes include 1) Michelle Kwan; 2) Picabo Street; 3) Sasha Cohen; 4) Apolo Ohno; 5) Mario Lemieux; 6) Bode Miller; 7) Sarah Hughes; 8) Alexei Yagudin; 9) Jonny Moseley and 10) Eric Lindros.

Face Off:

A well-known newswoman appears on The Lycos 50 this week as news junkies flocked to the Web to find the new face of Greta Van Susteren (#41). Van Susteren left CNN and reappeared at Fox News last week with a new show and a new look. Almost half the search requests asked simply for Greta or Greta Van.

Patriot Games:

The upset champion New England Patriots (#40) became the first NFL team to ever make The Lycos 50. The Super Bowl itself hit number 10 on this list. Meanwhile, NBC's counter-programming effort, a special Playboy Playmate edition of the reality show Fear Factor, also sparked a good deal of online attention.
