Business Wire, Feb 12, 2002

LONG ISLAND, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 12, 2002

Torbay Holdings Inc, New York (ticker "trby"): Announced today that the world's first Biomechanical Computer Mouse(TM), The Quill(TM), will be supplied with software that complies with the Occupational Safety and Heath Administration's (OHSA) Office Ergonomics safety guidelines.

This feature will be a user de-selectable option and in addition to the fundamental benefits anticipated by using Torbay's biomechanically designed mouse in reducing or eradicating the conditions referred to as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), Repetitive Strain Injury or Cumulative Trauma Disease. The software provided with The Quill(TM) prompts users to take a 15 min break every 2 hours. This is a recommendation of the OSHA and published in their Ergonomic Report: Office and Clerical, extracts relating to TW921209.

The software supplied with The Quill(TM), designed for OHSA compliance, will also include drivers for Windows and Macintosh. Professional Macintosh users in particular are typically graphics orientated and therefore more extensive mouse users at risk. Additionally the software will include the Median Nerve Challenge(TM), due to be launched on February 28, 2002, International RSI Awareness Day, in Left and Right Handed versions, allowing users to self evaluate their own Median Nerve mobility, reduced in instances of upper limb damage due to CTS. This will introduce Quill(TM) users to the benefits of the E-Quill-Liberator(TM) software.

The E-Quill-Liberator(TM) software is an additional cost expert system that allows users to personally manage their working regime by inputting details of fatigue and discomfort. This facilitates recommendations as to stretch and exercise regimes so as to relieve the sensations experienced which maybe associated with simple fatigue or pre or post diagnosis CTS. Torbay's Biomechanists designed these regimes following years of research and treatment of patients in the UK. They believe that the combination of this software and Torbay's Biomechanical Computer Mouse(TM), may not just help prevent but possibly alleviate symptoms that users already exhibit and thereby their combined use may provide therapeutic relief; though this is anticipation ahead of validation by extensive clinical studies.

Tom Large, CEO of Torbay Holdings Inc, stated, "In keeping with our philosophy of `taking the strain out of mousing' we are providing software that for the first time teaches the computer how to work with people."
