REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 15, 2002

The DSL Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) market declined 3% Q/Q, posting revenues of $458.7 million in 4Q01. Revenues include sales of modems, data-only routers, and voice-and-data routers.

"DSL Service Providers continue to increase their quarterly subscriber base as end user demand for broadband access remains strong," said Paul Baranello, industry analyst for Dell'Oro Group. "Unit shipments were actually up sequentially. The DSL CPE market is a highly competitive market, and vendors cut price in 4Q01 to maintain share. Ultimately, this contributed to the Q/Q revenue decline."
