GRAMMY(R)Fever Gets Interactive This Year as AOL Music Brings the

Hottest Events, Celebrities and More Right to its Members

America Online, Inc., the world's leading interactive service company, and J Records today announced that AOL Music will be the exclusive broadcaster of the musical performances from Clive Davis' coveted pre-GRAMMY Awards gala. This invitation-only event, which takes place at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California, will be webcast live for members on AOL High Speed Broadband services on February 26, starting at 9:00 p.m. (PST) at AOL Keyword: Music.

GRAMMY fever is setting in, and AOL members will have the exclusive opportunity to experience all of the musical performances during this year's Clive Davis pre-GRAMMY affair. A live webcast the night of the party will be available exclusively to AOL members connected to the Internet via a high-speed connection - such as cable modem or digital subscriber line (DSL). Last year's A-list performers included Stevie Wonder, Luther Vandross, Gladys Knight, Angie Stone, Dido and Alicia Keys. Performers for this years' event will be announced on AOL the day of the event.

"It is our honor to be teaming up with Clive Davis and J Records as we combine the forces of a music industry legend with the leading online music destination and give AOL members and Web music fans around the world access to the hottest industry party of the year," said Kevin Conroy, Senior Vice President and General Manager of AOL Music. "We are pleased to make this very special live webcast event available through AOL's High Speed Broadband service which maximizes members' audio and video experience."

"This first full year has been really unbelievable for us with four top ten albums including Alicia Keys, Luther Vandross, Busta Rhymes and O-Town and it's time to celebrate," said Clive Davis, Chairman and CEO of J Records. "I'm thrilled to partner with such a leader in online music to give fans an opportunity to experience an inside look at this thrilling star-studded event of Grammy week."

Beginning Monday, February 25, AOL Music will offer content leading up to the gala event across AOL and music sites on the Web properties. AOL Music host Chris Douridas will interview artists during sound check and on the Red Carpet that night and speak with Clive Davis himself about the party, the year in music and much more. On Wednesday, February 27, the webcast of the party will also be made available to all AOL members at AOL Keyword: GRAMMY and to fans on the Web at Music pages on Netscape, AIM, ICQ and CompuServe.

As also announced today, AOL and The Recording Academy have entered into a multi-year partnership that will result in bringing the excitement of the world's premier music awards show to AOL's more than 33 million members and Web music fans around the world. AOL Keyword: GRAMMY and www.grammy.com will provide an inside glimpse into the prestigious world of music that can't be found anywhere else, including rehearsal coverage, a live Red Carpet webcast, artist interviews and much more. On-demand video of interviews and performances including the MusiCares "Person Of The Year" dinner and performance will also be available. Also, only at AOL Keyword: GRAMMY, AOL members will have the chance to monitor exclusive behind-the-scenes Web cams offering an insider's view from the festivities that night.

The 44th Annual GRAMMY Awards will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Staples Center in Los Angeles and broadcast on the CBS Television network at 8:00 p.m. (EST/PST).
