BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 19, 2002

AppWorx Corporation today announced that Fort Lewis College has picked the company's leading enterprise job scheduler to automate processes on SCT Banner(R), a leading technology and business solution for higher education, utilities, and process manufacturing.

Located in the San Juan Mountains of Durango, Co., Fort Lewis College is a public liberal arts college with over 4000 students. The college currently runs SCT Banner applications on their OpenVMS system and was looking to automate their IT operating procedures and efficiently manage administration information across multiple servers and operating systems.

"We needed to be able to execute Banner financial aid reports and student letters, as well as custom reports developed using Oracle Reports and Crystal Reports from our SCT Banner solution," said George Curtis of Fort Lewis College. "The AppWorx scheduler provided a very robust solution that will allow us to execute jobs on either our OpenVMS or NT servers from a single job scheduling portal and it is fully compatible with SCT's Banner software."

AppWorx will enable Fort Lewis College to free up resources previously dedicated to lengthy manual processes by allowing them to schedule and control SCT Banner jobs residing on their OpenVMS system. With AppWorx, they are now able to view reports created on their OpenVMS system as well as NT/2000 from a single portal and virtually eliminate the need for custom scripting.

"There is no reason to have users manually starting, stopping and verifying job completion, said Bill Wrenn, President and CEO for AppWorx Corporation. "With our unique SCT Banner solution and our industry leading scheduler, colleges and universities across the country can eliminate hours of wasted labor and re-focus their resources on core IT issues."
