Serena Announces Agreement With IBM to Deliver Powerful Application Performance Management Solution to Enterprise Customers

IBM Licenses Serena StarTool APM, Enabling Customers to Improve
Productivity, Lower Costs
SERENA Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:SRNA), an industry-leading supplier of software that automates change to enterprise code and content, today announced an agreement with IBM wherein IBM will license and market Serena(TM) StarTool(R) APM to complement its enterprise application development and performance management suite.

Serena StarTool APM, Application Performance Manager, is a performance measurement and analysis system that helps to resolve OS/390(1) and z/OS(1) job performance issues, providing vital statistics on any job -- an application, subsystem or task -- that warrants monitoring. By employing Serena StarTool APM, users can focus their activities on tuning specific areas of an application to boost productivity and meet the challenges demanded by e-business.
