SANTA MONICA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 25, 2002

Mobile Automation Inc., a leading provider of secure management solutions for mobile computing devices, today announced its participation in the Microsoft Mobility Partner Advisory Council (MPAC).

Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq:MSFT) formed the council in an effort to bring the most innovative and successful solutions to market with like-minded companies investing heavily in mobility.

Mobile Automation's MA2000 product is designed to provide IT organizations with the ability to enforce security policies on mobile devices and perform cost-saving software deployments automatically, regardless of where or how the device connects to the corporate network or Internet.

"A majority of the sales and service professionals, corporate executives and others who occasionally work away from their offices are using Window's-powered PCs," said Douglas Neal, president and CEO of Mobile Automation Inc. "Added to this group is a growing population of workers who use Pocket PCs or devices driven by Windows CE.

"All of these individuals need to receive secure updates of key application software used in their daily assignments, as well as rapid updates of anti-virus software and other software fixes from their IT staffs. MA2000 provides a secure and reliable download, without negatively impacting the productivity of the mobile worker."

"We are very excited to join the Microsoft Mobility Partner Advisory Council," added Neal. "This alliance will streamline the communication between Mobile Automation and the Microsoft Mobility Group, which will ultimately benefit our customers in a number of ways."

"Relationships are key to achieving Microsoft's mobile strategy, so we are thrilled to have Mobile Automation as part of our family of strategic MPAC partners," said Mary Rose Becker, group marketing manager of mobility of Microsoft Corp.

"Mobile Automation's secure mobile management product enables businesses to quickly create and deploy mobile management solutions that support their business needs and help achieve ROI."
