RF Micro Devices Inc. (Nasdaq:RFMD), a leading provider of proprietary radio frequency integrated circuits (RFICs) for wireless communications applications, announced today the introduction of its first complete family of serial analog integrated circuits (ICs) for use in fiber optic datacom transceivers up to 3.5 Gbps. The ICs are manufactured using silicon germanium and include receivers, limiting amplifiers and laser drivers.
