deployment

Nucleus Research's independent analysis of CRM deployments has found that many companies are losing money from their CRM technology projects. In fact, in its review of user clients, Nucleus found that one in 8 fails to achieve a positive ROI from its CRM deployment. Nucleus has identified 5 key reasons why CRM deployments fail, and a set of quick calculations that companies considering a CRM investment can do to reduce the risk of failure and increase the potential for a positive ROI.

The full research note, "Avoid the ROI pitfalls: Strategies for CRM success," is available for free download from the Nucleus Research Web site at www.NucleusResearch.com. This research note is one in a series of independent research that analyzes the bottom-line value of CRM.

"Many companies are spending too much time and money without a clear timeline for achieving returns from CRM," said Rebecca Wettemann, research director at Nucleus Research. "Following some simple rules and calculations can enable them to know that from the start - and use that knowledge to negotiate with vendors and consultants for better terms and keep their project on track."

The research note explains simple calculations companies can use to determine if they're paying too much for software and consulting, as well as guidelines for the amount of time they should spend selecting and deploying an application and training users.
