HAZLET, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 2002
Retail Decisions (LSE: RTD), a leading card-based transactions services business providing fraud prevention to the finance, telecommunications, retail and e-commerce sectors, announced today that Walmart.com, the online retail site for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., has selected ebitGuard, ReD's global e-commerce fraud detection and prevention service, to help protect customers using its online stores.
With more than 16 years of card fraud prevention experience and one of the world's largest proprietary fraud screening databases, Retail Decisions is very well placed to provide security for Walmart.com to conduct its credit card transactions.
"Our experience and expertise in card-not-present e-commerce fraud prevention services provide an excellent match to Walmart.com, offering them protection against the risk of fraudulent credit card transactions," said Carl Clump, CEO of Retail Decisions. "Having proven our e-commerce fraud prevention skills to one of the UK's largest retailers, we can now protect the online shoppers of the USA's largest retailer, too."
"Our aim is to keep fraud to well below the levels tolerated by the leading card associations. Quite rightly, Walmart.com has recognized the importance of protecting its customers and providing them with a safe online shopping environment. We are delighted to have been selected to partner with them in this important arena," added Clump.
ReD's global e-commerce fraud detection and prevention service, ebitGuard, provides real time risk assessment recommendations. ebitGuard incorporates neural technology, with a number of other sophisticated processes, databases and CNP experience to provide clients with a fully integrated service that delivers high quality risk management results.
