CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 2002

Arnold & Company Communications (A&CC), a marketing communications firm, and Axis Development, a network systems and information technology firm, have developed a new process for auditing and securing wireless computer networks: SecurNet(TM). The SecurNet process includes educating companies on how their wireless systems' security could be breached, auditing their current wireless system and then securing them from possible wireless intruders. A&CC will market SecurNet to the approximately 20 percent of companies in the US who are currently using wireless computer network systems.

"We believe we're one of the first companies to isolate this problem and offer a solution," said Douglas M. Arnold, A&CC president. "We're marketing SecurNet as quickly as possible to our target audience in order prove our leadership and expertise in this new technology area."

Arnold added, "Before developing SecurNet, we conducted a survey to see how easy it would be to penetrate a company's wireless system. The results were amazing: We found that anyone with equipment purchased from a local computer store can quickly gain access to a company's network. Wireless networks do not allow for traceable connections. Even if IT people notice the breach, there's no way to identify the hacker."

Dana J. Arvidson, Axis Development president and SecurNet creator said, "Activating a network's Wire Equivalent Privacy (WEP), an encryption scheme that is built into every network system, does not guarantee complete security and only serves as a minor deterrent to intruders. Wireless network security breaches are a serious problem for any company that has proprietary information on its network. We plan to educate the wireless network user about the potential harm it can do and then show them how the SecurNet program can be a viable, economical solution."

Since 1984 Arnold & Company Communications has offered objective-driven marketing communications programs to clients in the professional, business-to-business, consumer and technological markets. Other divisions of the company include Arnold & Company New Media for Website and CD-ROM development and Arnold Interactive for Internet marketing.

Axis Development, LLC, develops and markets database-driven web applications, site development and highly-secure Linux firewalls and servers.
