PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 7, 2002

SEEC, Inc. (Nasdaq:SEEC), a provider of software solutions for insurance and other industries, today announced that Ohio Casualty Insurance Company has selected SEEC to deliver a Web interface to existing back-end systems.

"SEEC's solution will improve user productivity and efficiency by allowing users to access current mainframe applications over the Internet using an intuitive, Web browser interface," said John Kellington, chief technology officer of Ohio Casualty. "We selected SEEC for the availability, performance, and flexibility of their solution, as well as their ability to deliver in very short time-frames."

Using SEEC Mosaic(TM) Studio, Ohio Casualty will be able to quickly roll out new Web-based business capabilities to current users. The SEEC solution will provide Web-based update and inquiry by linking to Ohio Casualty's existing back-end systems. SEEC Mosaic(TM) Studio also provides business rule mining capabilities that will let Ohio Casualty analyze the business logic in current applications.

"This solution provides a fast and cost-effective means to improve existing insurance processes using the Web, reducing costs and improving service to policyholders," said Bruce Cameron, senior vice president, worldwide sales and services for SEEC. "And the solution can be implemented in months, providing almost immediate benefit to our customers."
