VFA, an industry leader in facilities conditions assessments and Web-based solutions for strategic capital asset management, will host this interactive seminar on using proven lifecycle facility management practices to support the mission of an organization. The seminar will examine the ways in which a consistent assessment methodology and computer-based decision support tools help organizations effectively allocate available facility funds and space to meet long-term needs.

Sheila Sheridan of Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government will discuss how a Capital Planning and Management Solution (CPMS(TM)) allows organizations to gain an accurate picture of existing physical and functional facility conditions and requirements.

Through the presentations, attendees will discover how the implementation of lifecycle practices enables facilities managers to make informed decisions and execute a strategic approach to capital reinvestment. By exploring the ways in which educational institutions and government agencies have incorporated real-time analysis and technology-based planning tools into their facility management programs, attendees will be better equipped to meet the challenges of limited budgets, the management of multi-building portfolios and the accurate gauging of success.
