MOUNT LAUREL, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 14, 2002
Oki Data Americas, Inc. today announced the introduction of PrintView(TM) Job Accounting software designed specifically by California-based Imaging Portals Inc. for OKI(R) monochrome and color page printers.
Businesses and organizations can now manage many key printer usage functions, allowing for more control and greater productivity.
Cost conscious companies now have the ability to monitor pages printed and cost of any print job spooled to either a monochrome or color OKI page printer. Print jobs can be tracked to the client, project, or department, allowing businesses to bill the cost accordingly. The PrintView(TM) Job Accounting software utilizes a Universal PCL/PS print tracking method that can be used for almost every printing application. The new software is network capable, supporting most all clients within an organization.
The only job accounting software that can track monochrome versus color print jobs, PrintView(TM) produces a highly accurate account of total costs per page. The software also offers a user restriction feature, such that only certain groups or individuals are authorized for color printing.
"With the acceleration of color usage in the corporate environment, many departments want to track and manage access to their printers," said Robert Shibata, Oki Data Senior Marketing Manager. "We are excited to offer this new solution, because it's exactly what companies have been requesting."
Availability
PrintView(TM) Job Accounting software is available through authorized OKI resellers. The software is also available online at www.okidata.com.
