PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 28, 2002
Tripwire Inc. and netForensics today announced that they will work together to integrate and jointly market their solutions to enhance the IT security of their customers.
Tripwire's award-winning data integrity assurance solutions have received netForensics ActiveEnvoy Xchange certification and Tripwire will certify netForensics solutions as Tripwire Ready. Under the terms of the agreement, Tripwire's products will integrate with netForensics Security Information Management (SIM) technology to offer enterprises comprehensive security information that can be accessed from any Web browser.
Tripwire's data integrity assurance technology mitigates the risk of undesired changes to critical servers and routers, ensuring the integrity of the infrastructure that runs critical business processes. netForensics provides rapid and effective analysis of heterogeneous security system information through its SIM platform, which assembles data from devices including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, virtual private networks (VPNs), applications and host integrity systems. The integration will provide a single view of high-risk network activities across Tripwire protected servers, Cisco firewalls, Cisco Secure Intrusion Detection Systems and other security devices through the netForensics real-time interface.
"It is now widely known that no business is exempt from risk and could be attacked at any time by something that could fundamentally cripple it," says Marcus Bartram, Technology Consultant, NSC Global. "Having partnered with two key players in this space, netForensics and Tripwire, we fully understand this and believe that the amalgamation of these technologies is a crucial step towards providing genuine piece of mind."
"Tripwire's host-based solution has been widely adopted by businesses to prevent malicious attacks from compromising valuable data assets," said netForensics CEO Rajeev Khanolkar. "Coupled with our growing reputation for quality real-time forensics and data management, the joint netForensics/Tripwire solution will offer customers a robust combination to fully address their security and reporting needs."
According to Tripwire president and CEO W. Wyatt Starnes, "netForensics is a clear innovator with its interactive, real-time interface that enables reporting, correlation and forensics. The integration of our DNI solutions with netForensics technology will help prevent widespread network outage and subsequent revenue loss because organizations have the power to proactively monitor, maintain and respond to network attacks by viewing information through one master console."
