MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 29, 2002

Managed Objects today announced that Siki Giunta, the Business Service Management company's president and chief executive officer, will present at the SG Cowen conference, "Security and the Network: New Realities."

The conference will be held in New York City on January 30th, 2002 at Le Parker Meridien. Managed Objects is one of the few private companies invited to present at the conference, where leading providers of network and security management technologies will discuss the direction of the market and the implications for investors.

Giunta's presentation will begin at 9:10 am. After providing an overview of Managed Objects, she will discuss Business Service Management, along with how the approach relates to network and security management tools.

"Our customers have made significant investments in network and security technology," explains Giunta. "Formula(R), our platform for Business Service Management, leverages those investments to view the infrastructure from a business perspective. For instance, a company's security tools can detect simultaneous breaches, but not how those breaches are impacting key services. Business Service Management is a way to determine that impact, so the company knows which problems to fix first. It's an approach that our customers use to improve business services, while slashing the costs of delivering them."

Business Service Management has gained wide acceptance among leading enterprises and analysts. In fact, Gartner Group expects that by 2004, 60% of companies will manage IT from this kind of business perspective.
