DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 30, 2002
S2 Systems, Inc., a global provider of transaction processing, authorization and integrated solutions for the banking, financial and retail sectors, announced that it has been named as a Microsoft Certified Partner due to its proven competence on the latest Microsoft technologies. Membership in the Microsoft Certified Partner Program will provide S2 Systems with resources to help it develop and deploy robust Microsoft solutions that will help speed customers' time to market and reduce costs.
S2 Systems will leverage its affiliation with Microsoft to deliver enterprise-class transaction management solutions incorporating best-of-breed technologies. The company recently set an industry milestone by enabling a major bank in the Asia-Pacific region to replace its proprietary system with S2's high-performance OpeN/2(TM) transaction processing solution for Windows 2000. Most noteworthy is the fact that S2's robust solution utilizes Microsoft's SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition database to deliver improved speed, scalability and reliability; it is targeted for large-scale deployment in mid-2002.
"We are extremely pleased with our new status as a Microsoft Certified Partner," said Lynn Holland, S2 Systems CTO. "Being a member of the program gives us early access to product information, so that when our customers are ready to take advantage of the latest Microsoft technology solution we already have the experience we need. In addition, future technology enhancements will allow us to evolve S2's mission-critical transaction management solutions and help accelerate market transition away from proprietary systems."
The Microsoft Certified Partner Program allows S2 Systems to utilize the Microsoft logo, which is an easy way for customers to recognize S2 Systems as certified by Microsoft Corp. Microsoft offers a variety of resources to program members, including training, technical support, early access to Microsoft products and peer-networking opportunities that allow a variety of partners to come together and provide end-to-end customer solutions.
"When customers are looking to implement a Microsoft technology solution for their business, their best bet is to turn to an expert -- a Microsoft Certified Partner," said Rosa Garcia, general manager of the Partner Programs Group at Microsoft. "Microsoft provides its Certified Partners with in-depth access to existing and emerging Microsoft technologies and related training and resources to help ensure that they have the technical intimacy needed to deliver quality solutions. Today, Microsoft recognizes S2 Systems for demonstrating this level of expertise and welcomes it as a new Microsoft Certified Partner."
