Penton Media's Pocket PC New York Conference and Exhibition To Feature Major Presence By Microsoft Corp.; Event to Focus on Deployment of Pocket PC 2002 in the Enterprise

Penton Media (NYSE:PME, http://www.penton.com) today announced that the launch of Pocket PC New York conference and exhibition will feature major participation by Microsoft Corp., developers of the Windows Powered Pocket PC Platform.

To be held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center from February 20-22, 2002 alongside Internet World Wireless East 2002, the event will address the ascendant Pocket PC platform, and the devices and applications that will redefine mobile computing in the enterprise market.

Together with Internet World Wireless, the events will offer business executives, developers and IT professionals the opportunity to gain exposure to a very robust and wide reaching platform for mobile computing.

The centerpiece of the Pocket PC New York event will be Microsoft's participation on the show floor. Maintaining a significant presence in the exhibit hall, Microsoft will provide attendees with demonstrations and information that articulate the advantages of adopting Pocket PC 2002 in the enterprise. At the same time, twenty Pocket PC partner vendors are expected to participate in the Microsoft Partner Pavilion, in which they will demonstrate the latest hardware, software, and application advancements developed for the Pocket PC 2002 platform.

In addition, Partner Pavilion participants including Enfora, Extended Systems, fonix, PointSec, Sellent and Synchrologic will also offer presentations and product demos within the "Pocket PC Theater" located on the show floor, and free to all attendees.
