Internet World Fall 2002
Penton Media (NYSE:PME), (http://www.penton.com) today announced that that it is partnering with SD Times, "The Industry Newspaper for Software Development Managers," to create a Web Services Design Conference to be held on October 1 and 2, 2002, during Penton's Tenth Annual Internet World Fall.
The event will be a practical two-day technical conference designed to give software developers, managers and architects a practical working knowledge of what it takes to build applications using web services today.
Chaired by Alan Zeichick, co-founder and editor-in-chief of SD Times, the conference has been programmed to provide attendees with nuts-and-bolts information on such topics as:
-- The Mechanics of Web Services -- Making Web Services Scalable and Secure -- Bridging the Standards Gap: Linking Incompatible Web Services -- Building and Deploying Web Services on .NET and Java/J2EE -- Enterprise Integration Technology Using Web Services -- Tools and Frameworks for Building, Testing and Deploying Web Services
"The development community has been exposed to considerable hype regarding Web Services," noted Mr. Zeichick, "and we're pleased to be partnering with Penton Media to create a conference that cuts through this hype, and instructs developers in what they can do today to put standards-based XML Web Services to work for their companies."
