Conference Will Introduce Entrepreneurship Educators to State of
the Art Technology-Enhanced Learning
UMassOnline, the University of Massachusetts' web-based learning division, today announced the receipt of a $143K grant from the Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation to produce the Technology Enhanced Entrepreneurship Education (TE3) conference. The three-day TE3 conference, scheduled for October, will introduce entrepreneurship faculty from business schools nationwide to cutting-edge technology that enhances the education and learning of entrepreneurship.
"TE3 is designed for entrepreneurship educators who plan to use technology to teach entrepreneurship in undergraduate, graduate, and continuous (life long) educational programs," says Jack Wilson, TE3 Clinic Director, UMass Amherst Professor of Management, and CEO of UMassOnline. "The conference will give entrepreneurship educators experience with a smorgasbord of technology-enhanced education options, including face-to-face technology-enhanced learning, online learning, videoconferencing, and `live online learning' over the Web."
TE3 participants will learn how to construct technology-enhanced entrepreneurship programs for their institutions, including techniques to help analyze their audiences, academic goals, institutional cultures and technology platforms. In addition to Wilson, TE3 conference faculty will include nationally prominent authorities on online entrepreneurship from Stanford University, Babson College, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Harvard Business Online and the University of Massachusetts.
The TE3 conference will take place in the conference center of the University of Massachusetts President's Office in Boston. Wilson expects entrepreneurship faculty leaders from top business schools nationwide to attend this one-of-a-kind conference.
