Florida Rock Announces Conference Call and Earnings Expectation

Florida Rock Industries, Inc. (NYSE:FRK) today announced its expectation, based on a preliminary analysis of third quarter results, that results for the third quarter would be substantially similar to the record results reported for the third quarter of fiscal 2001. The Company currently expects that third quarter earnings will be in the range of 65 to 67 cents per diluted share.
The Company anticipates issuing a press release on third quarter and nine-month earnings on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 after 4:30 p.m. EDST. The Company also will host a conference call at 10:00 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, July 31, 2002.
