With the introduction of PKZIP 5.0, individual users are now able to purchase one year of Support and Maintenance Service (SMS). SMS includes real-time telephone and email support during normal business hours as well as free updates. Product updates incorporate bug fixes and/or minor functional enhancements, if any. Availability

PKZIP 5.0 Standard Edition and PKZIP 5.0 Professional Edition are available for use on Microsoft's Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP systems. PKZIP is also available on UNIX (Linux, HP-UX, SPARC Solaris, IBM-AIX), Mainframe, AS/400 and DOS.

PKZIP 5.0 Professional Edition, which combines compression with multi-level security, is immediately available and may be purchased directly from PKWARE's Web site for the next 30 days for a special promotional price of US$39.95. After 30 days, PKZIP 5.0 Professional Edition will be available for US $49.95. PKZIP 5.0 Standard Edition with compression and basic security is immediately available and may be purchased directly from PKWARE's Web site for the next 30 days for a special promotional price of US$24.95. After 30 days, PKZIP Standard Edition will be available for US$29.95. Additionally, during the next 30 days, PKZIP 5.0 products will come bundled with one year of SMS for individual users.
