Mercator Launches New Solutions for Web Services, Java Connector Architecture, and Financial Services

Mercator(R) Software, Inc. (Nasdaq:MCTR), today announced the general availability of new products for Web services, Java Connector Architecture (JCA), and Financial Services, as well as the release of Mercator Integration Broker Version 6.5.2, the latest version of its core integration solution.

The result of extensive research and development, these next generation integration solutions allow customers to leverage existing systems, applications, and technology resources and adapt them to the latest technologies, including Web services and JCA.

Web Services Integration Package v1.0

The Mercator Web Services Integration Package allows customers access to both application information and services via the Internet without the need to alter existing applications and IT infrastructure--and enables customers to provide services via the Internet or corporate intranet. It provides full integration with enterprise systems and includes a SOAP adapter, WSDL importer, and examples and documentation that enable rapid implementation. French bank CDC (Caisse des Depots et Consignations, a subsidiary of the Caisse des Depots group), which is using Mercator Integration Broker to integrate its back-office systems, is the first financial services organization to deploy the Mercator Web services solution.

JCA Gateway v1.0

With the introduction of the Mercator JCA Gateway, customers can integrate a vast array of applications and technology resources by taking advantage of JCA-compliant adapters created by third-party vendors. In conjunction with the rollout, Mercator is launching a new Java Connector Architecture Certification Program that will enable adapter vendors to have their adapters certified by Mercator for successful interoperation with the Mercator JCA Gateway. The program will also enable Mercator customers to easily identify new sources for adapters, helping them to extend their integration capabilities via JCA.

EDI Integration Packages v1.0

Providing extended B2B support, Mercator's new EDI Integration Packages target TRADACOMS, X12, and EDIFACT and work in conjunction with Mercator Integration Broker V6.5.2.

SAP Integration Package v7.0

Mercator's new SAP integration offering meets the multi-faceted, complex integration needs of SAP customers who use SAP-BW as a data warehouse and business intelligence resource for non-SAP and SAP applications. It provides real-time integration with SAP-BW via staging BAPIs and also updates other SAP adapters and importers.

Security Option v1.1

Mercator's new Security Option protects customers' B2B transactions with 128-bit private key encryption.

VAN Adapter v6.1

The Mercator VAN Adapter V6.1 extends value-added connectivity to new platforms, including AIX 4.3.3+, HP-UX 11.0+, Sun Solaris 6/SunOS 5.6+, Windows NT (SP6+), Windows 2000 (SP1+), and Windows XP.

Financial Services Solutions--Highlights

Continued Support of SWIFT Standards across FS Manager and GSS Products

Mercator is providing upgraded support for SWIFT standards in July, well in advance of SWIFT's November go-live date.

Updated GUI for Global Securities Solution (GSS)

Enhanced GUI and new security and data inheritance features continue to fuel Mercator's leadership position in the financial services industry.
