eRoom Technology Names David Hartzband to Position of Chief Technology Officer

Industry Visionary Brings Wealth of Experience in
Collaborative Systems and Architectures to Key Executive Role
eRoom Technology, Inc., a leading provider of products and services for extended enterprise collaboration, announced today that it has named David Hartzband to the position of chief technology officer (CTO). As CTO, Hartzband is responsible for managing all aspects of the company's technology strategy, including high-level architecture planning, platform strategies and third-party integration efforts. His wealth of experience in collaborative software and architectures is complemented by decades of management experience and a history of creative problem-solving, further strengthening an executive team that counts more than 700 of the world's largest companies as its customers. Hartzband succeeds Pito Salas in the position of CTO. Salas remains an advisor to the company and a member of eRoom's board of directors.

Prior to joining eRoom Technology, Hartzband held the position of CTO for Agile Software. He has extensive experience in structured and unstructured collaboration, product lifecycle management, as well as managing complex product architectures and design and development programs. A natural leader and innovator, Hartzband is the author of numerous technical reports and journal articles on artificial intelligence (AI), mathematics, concurrent engineering and cultural anthropology issues.
Hartzband earned a bachelor of science in Philosophy from Syracuse University, a master of science in Ecology from Ohio University and a doctor of science in Mathematics from Universitat Hamburg in the Federal Republic of Germany. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and holds several patents for AI-based product designs.
