PLEASANTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 11, 2002
PeopleSoft Inc. (Nasdaq:PSFT) today announced Enterprise Incentive Management (EIM), an innovative product suite to be included in PeopleSoft's recently introduced Human Capital Management solutions. PeopleSoft's EIM suite will
provide organizations with the capability to model, manage, communicate, and measure incentive compensation in alignment with specific business objectives across departmental boundaries. PeopleSoft Sales Incentive Management (SIM) is the first product to be introduced in the EIM suite.
PeopleSoft Enterprise Incentive Management will assist organizations in aligning individual performance with corporate strategies and business objectives. Organizations will be able to more effectively manage sales incentives, variable compensation, management by objective (MBO) plans, channel partner incentives, and supplier incentives.
"When it comes to incentive management, companies are looking to standardize across the enterprise with a common incentive plan architecture, and to reduce the enterprise-wide costs of administering the plans," said Donya Rose, managing consultant, rewards and performance management at Towers Perrin. "An enterprise-class incentive management system is foundational to this approach."
Sales Incentive Management
PeopleSoft SIM will enable organizations to align sales compensation with key profit drivers such as customer satisfaction or sales pipeline. As a result, organizations will be able to optimize the entire sales incentive process, from planning through payment, online. In addition, by automating incentive plans that require complicated administration, PeopleSoft SIM will address the issue of costly commission overpayments. PeopleSoft SIM will be generally available later this year.
"Organizations are constantly being challenged to find new and innovative ways to recognize the value and performance of their workforce," said Jenni Lehman, vice president of global product strategy for PeopleSoft's Human Capital Management division. "PeopleSoft's vision is to deliver solutions that allow organizations to drive meaningful performance criteria that directly map to a company's objectives."
