TIMONIUM, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 13, 2002
RDA CEO, Don Awalt, has been named Microsoft MSDN Regional Director for the Washington, D.C. metro area. Awalt will be assuming the Regional Director responsibilities for a second time - he was MSDN Regional Director for the Philadelphia region between 1997 and 1999.
"I was thrilled to be asked to do this again," said Awalt, whose own company, Timonium-based RDA, has been delivering Microsoft-based technology solutions for most of its 14 years of existence. "We do a lot of work with Microsoft technologies, and this will help build our own relationship with Microsoft by making them more successful."
RDA has been a Microsoft partner since 1992, was designated a Premium Solution Provider by Microsoft in 2000 and then as a Gold Certified partner in 2001.
"This will be a big plus for RDA's customers as well. To engage more closely with Microsoft will help us get the `inside scoop' on a lot of new technology, and that of course is a benefit we will pass on to our own clients with more efficient and technologically-advanced solutions," added Awalt.
Regional directors are independent developer/volunteers chosen for their leadership in their local technology circles, whose primary purpose is to share information about Microsoft technologies with their developer communities and to provide feedback from developers to Microsoft. There are 35 Microsoft MSDN Regional Directors across the United States, and 140 worldwide.
