YUMA, Arizona--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 17, 2002

AAL's eSIS(TM) will improve district management of 19,000

student records

The Administrative Assistants Ltd. (AAL), developer of specialized student information software for the North American market, today announced that Yuma Elementary School District No.1 and Yuma Union High School District No.70 are the first in the State of Arizona to implement eSIS, AAL's centralized Web-based student information system. In a contract worth more than USD$800,000, eSIS has been selected to serve approximately 19,000 students in 22 schools in Yuma, Arizona.

eSIS will provide Yuma school administrators, teachers and professional staff with a Web-based solution to more effectively manage student information. From student records and bus schedules to nurse and health records, authorized users will be able to access real-time, up to the minute statistics and information from any computer. Multiple levels of security will ensure only authorized access to the Yuma districts' student information.

"By focusing exclusively on the education market, we can help our clients with a customized solution designed around their special requirements," said Brian Currie, President and CEO of AAL. "eSIS will enable Yuma district administrators to focus their resources on better serving the needs of teachers, parents and students in their districts, leaving the data management to us."

AAL was the only vendor offering a multi-district product who agreed to meet the State of Arizona's new reporting requirements. The first stage of implementation includes an eSIS Fit Analysis; a detailed review of the Yuma districts' current policies and procedures to identify where changes need to take place and to allow the system to be customized to meet the specific needs of each district.

"eSIS will dramatically improve every area of student data management, allow much more detailed student record keeping, and is flexible enough that we can use it for many years to come," said Sandii Leeper, Yuma Educational Computer Consortium and Manager of Data Processing. "AAL has delivered superb customer service with extremely fast response times in order to meet our short implementation schedule."

Through eSIS, Yuma district users will enjoy benefits such as:

-- Teachers will have classroom access to up-to-date student information
immediately

-- Staff will be able to manage and check teacher and student schedules on an
individual basis

-- Administrators will be able to analyze information district-wide and in real
time

-- Systems departments will benefit from a more intuitive system for all users,
which will reduce support time
