Teva Announces Approval of Tramadol HCL Tablets

JERUSALEM, Israel--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 20, 2002

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq:TEVA) announced today that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted final approval of the company's ANDA for Tramadol Hydrochloride Tablets, 50 mg.

Tramadol Hydrochloride Tablets are the AB-rated generic version of RW Johnson's Ultram(R) Tablets. Teva's product is approved for the management of moderate to moderately severe pain. Shipments are expected to begin immediately.
