CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 20, 2002
USF Reddaway and USF Dugan, regional carriers units of USFreightways Corporation, both received 2001 Carrier Achievement Awards from Hoffman Enclosures. These awards are the highest honors given by Hoffman Enclosures, and USF Reddaway was recognized for the second consecutive year.
"We evaluate our carriers annually, but awards are only presented when a carrier achieves a mark higher than 98%. In the 12 years this awards program has been in existence only six carriers have qualified for it," said Marlon Philippi, Director of Logistics for Hoffman Enclosures. During the awards presentation dinner the stringent criteria was reviewed: adherence to delivery schedule, shipment performance, claims-free shipments, billing accuracy, and carrier relationship/services. Mr. Philippi put the winning performances into perspective, stating, "We don't give these awards away. Carriers have to earn them."
"We are always honored when a customer recognizes our hard work. When Hoffman Enclosures announced we'd won this award for the second year, it let us know our continued efforts were paying off," commented Jared McArthur, President of USFreightways Western Carrier Group and President and Chief Executive Officer of USF Reddaway.
"Our goal is to find ways to help our customers do their business better. When we make them look good, it is a win-win situation for everyone," stated Walter Ainsworth, President of USF Dugan. Mr. Ainsworth also stressed the value of working as a partner with customers such as Hoffman Enclosures.
