Arnold Transportation Services Wins State Safety Awards

Arnold Transportation Services, a subsidiary of Roadway Corporation (Nasdaq:ROAD), received two state awards for outstanding safety performance in 2001.
The first honor was a First Place Award from the Pennsylvania Motor Transportation Association for Truckload General Commodities, over 10 Million Miles run in the state. The award was based on having the lowest Department of Transportation recordable accident frequency in the state for 2001.

The second award was a Second Place Safety Award from Georgia Motor Transportation Association for the Truckload General Commodities, over 10 Million Miles run in the state. The award was based on having low accident frequency in the state for 2001 local operations.
