Business Wire, June 26, 2002
Business & News Editors
CNBC Asia today announced that it has expanded its relationship with its PR partner, The Hoffman Agency, in a move to continue to enhance its profile throughout the region. With this agreement, the agency will now provide CNBC with PR support in the Asia Pacific region. The Hoffman Agency has been CNBC's PR agency in Hong Kong since December 2000.
This appointment is in tandem with CNBC's plan to build a more customer focused brand with the agency charged with enhancing CNBC's profile and building the brand with its audiences and business partners.
According to Mark Froude, the VP, International Sales and Marketing of CNBC Asia Pacific, "CNBC has established itself as the only business channel in Asia and is now planning for aggressive growth. Our aim is to maintain and reinforce our leadership position in the region by delivering even greater value to our customers and partners here. With this renewed commitment internally, it was key that we appoint a PR partner who will be able to communicate our message in an effective manner to our key audiences."
Said Veronica Ng, Managing Director Singapore, The Hoffman Agency Asia Pacific, "We have enjoyed the relationship with CNBC in Hong Kong and are happy to have grown it to now provide PR counsel at the regional level. The Hoffman Agency is confident that expanding PR support will not only help CNBC to grow its viewer support but also communicate what the brand embodies in its key markets."
