Business Wire, June 27, 2002
Business Editors/High-Tech Writers
Vitria, the leading provider of innovative integration solutions, today announced that its BusinessWare(R) integration platform received top scores in the process management category of the recent TechRankings scorecard assessment completed by Forrester Research, Inc., an independent industry analyst firm.
Issued on May 31, 2002, Forrester's TechRankings scorecard also ranks Vitria's BusinessWare 3.1.5 with top scores in consistency and administration and security.
"Process automation is the hallmark of Vitria's BusinessWare product, so it's a good fit for firms looking to automate complex and dynamic processes that span many applications," Forrester's TechRankings scorecard notes. "Firms can build processes through the product's solid GUI-based process-modeling tools and tight integration with third-party modeling tools like IDS Scheer ARIS and Rational Rose."
"Forrester's evaluation of BusinessWare reaffirms Vitria's leadership in business process management," said Dale Skeen, chief technology officer, Vitria. "This is very significant because as customers adopt new standards such as Web services to simplify data integration, they are increasingly focusing on business process integration -- the highest value segment of integration."
