Bricsnet FM Will Improve the Efficiency of Managing Property
and Construction Projects With Established Technologies:
Building/Center and Project/Center
New company Bricsnet FM (Belgium) opened its doors today in California, New Hampshire, Belgium, and Singapore. Backed by strong industry partners, the company begins with an established client base, a strong sales pipeline, and proven technology solutions designed to improve efficiencies in managing properties and construction projects.
Bricsnet FM is a new company created with new investors from throughout the world and Belgium-based company Bricsnet (NASDAQ Europe: BSNT), which provided the intellectual property of its products Project/Center, for the architect, engineer and contractor (AEC) market, and Building/Center, for property owners. The new company was formed to aggressively drive these technologies to market.
Dennis Neeley, CEO of Bricsnet FM, states, "We have before us a tremendous opportunity. We are a new company, starting right out of the gate with an established brand, strong partners, an existing client base, proven technology, and employees with the knowledge to take us aggressively forward in the commercial real estate and AEC markets." Neeley was acting CEO of Bricsnet for the past four months, which is now essentially a holding company.
Trevor Foster, executive vice president of EMCOR Facilities Services, Inc., which has a software development arrangement with Bricsnet FM, stated, "Companies managing multiple properties, and the operations related to these properties, have long struggled with integrating data from all aspects of their organization. The technology platform behind Building/Center allows the integration of disparate technology tools and data into one central digital dashboard. The ability to seamlessly access and aggregate data from all aspects of a property's lifecycle, including leasing, assets, maintenance and projects, is long overdue for the industry."
Established clients using Building/Center today agree that integration of data is key to efficient management of properties. PWD EMS Pte. Ltd, one of the largest providers of real estate management services in the Asia-Pacific Region, believes that the real estate information platform approach provides a competitive advantage for PWD EMS as the region grows rapidly. Lum explains, "Building/Center will help us manage resources and monitor facilities across multiple locations simultaneously. Building/Center provides a single-source view to manage data across all of our properties and projects, facilitating more efficient operations, more informed decisions, and the rapid dissemination of information company-wide."
Bricsnet FM's product for AEC project collaboration is Project/Center. Project/Center is used around the world and is available in eight languages. Nihon Unisys, a partner of Bricsnet FM, adopted it to help the Japanese design and construction industry streamline communication during the design and construction of a project. "Project/Center is the first step in adopting Internet-enabled IT solutions for our industry," stated Yuzo Nishida, with Obayashi, a Nihon Unisys customer. "While we are primarily taking advantage of the streamlined communication capabilities the project management application provides, Bricsnet's full-lifecycle platform approach will provide our clients with a more comprehensive service to help them manage their investments in buildings and properties. Bricsnet FM is a highly strategic technology partner for Nihon Unisys."
Through the use of Project/Center and Building/Center the largest and least automated industry in the world can now consolidate and manage the tremendous amount of data connected with the design, construction, operations and maintenance of buildings.
