Premcor Inc. to Join FORTUNE 500 Index

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 4, 2002
FORTUNE announced today that Premcor Inc. (NYSE: PCO) will be added to the FORTUNE 500(R) Index (Symbol: FFX) after the close of trading on Friday, June 7, 2002.
Premcor, based in Old Greenwich, Conn., is an independent petroleum refiner and marketer of transportation fuels, heating oil, and other petroleum products in the United States. The company reported operating revenue of $1.2 billion for the quarter ended March 31, 2002.
Premcor became eligible for inclusion in the FORTUNE 500 Index upon completion of the company's initial public offering on April 29, 2002 and subsequent satisfaction of the share price, volume, and market capitalization criteria for the FORTUNE 500 Index in the 25-trading days following the IPO.
