HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 5, 2002
Super-fine pixel pitch of 0.248 mm. permits the LL-T1620
to display 1.3 Million pixels on a 16-inch LCD panel
Sharp Systems of America, a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, has announced the newest member of its premium LCD monitor line, the LL-T1620.
Joining the recently announced LL-T1820 and LL-T1520 (18-inch and 15-inch respectively), the new monitor is characterized by a 16-inch viewable panel with SXGA (1280 X 1024) resolution.
Sharp leads the industry in LCD color imaging technology and this latest announcement adds to the diverse line of high quality, budget priced LCD displays ideal for small office, home office, government, education, creative professional, and/or corporate users.
"The LL-T1620 utilizes a unique Sharp LCD panel with 60% more resolution than a standard XGA 15-inch LCD monitor," explained Herb Berkwits, director of LCD business development at Sharp Systems of America. "The ultra-high pixel density of 100 pixels per inch results in sharper text and crystal-clear graphics, yet the cost per pixel is among the lowest in the industry making the LL-T1620 an extraordinary value."
The LL-T1620 features the Sharp ASV technology LCD panel that provides a superior 25 ms video response and super-wide display angles of 170 degrees both horizontally and vertically. This LCD panel employs Sharp's Ultra High Aperture (UHA) technology for improved brightness (300 nits) coupled with reduced power consumption. In addition, this LCD panel features AGLR, a multi-layer surface treatment that reduces reflectance to approximately one-third that of a conventional LCD by optical cancellation, thus maintaining superior contrast, velvety blacks, and fully saturated colors even in brightly-lit environments.
With a slim bezel width of only 16.3 mm, the LL-T1620 is ideal for multi-monitor applications. The LL-T1620 may be switched between two computers, and its dual inputs accommodate analog or digital (DVI) interface for maximum flexibility in configuring new and existing installations. Its integrated speakers fire downward to maintain the sleek look of the super-slim bezel.
The LL-T1620 is available in black (LL-T1620B) or white (LL-T1620H) for an estimated street price of $649 and is available through Sharp Systems of America's network of resellers or by going online at http://www.sharpplace.com.
