OCALA, Fla. & DAYTON, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 11, 2002

BusinessHere Inc., a leading provider of Web-based private label auction solutions, today announced that it has been selected as the exclusive Internet auction provider for Horse Fever, a public art project located in Ocala/Marion County, Florida.

Produced by Marion Cultural Alliance, Inc. and sponsored by the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders' & Owners' Association, Horse Fever features 53 life-sized fiberglass horses that have been artfully painted and decorated by local and regional artists. The online auction at http://www.HorseFeverAuction.com will continue through March 21, 2002.

Considered Florida's horse breeding capital, Ocala has over 20,000 horses and 1200 horse farms. "Selecting Horses for Ocala's public art project was a natural decision for us. We have assembled a wonderful array of one-of-a-kind horse sculptures that art collectors and horse enthusiasts will enjoy for years to come," said Paula King, chairman for the Marion Cultural Alliance. "Our goal is to raise over $250,000 from the online and live auctions for the 51 works that are available for bidding," said King.

Painted horses include the patriotic, "Old Glory" which is draped in Stars and Stripes and aged to provide an antique wooden horse-look to the whimsical "Horsefly" which is covered with 36 varieties of butterflies, and was painted by a former art director of Shoebox Greetings, a tiny division of Hallmark.

Ohio-based BusinessHere, Inc. is providing the online auction venue for Horse Fever. "We have developed a customized auction site for Horse Fever that blends the benefits of online bidding with the excitement of their upcoming live auction," said Andy Lehman, chief executive officer of BusinessHere. Horse Fever's online auction is accepting "pre-bids" which allows people to place their bids online prior to the live auction. At the conclusion of the online auction, high bids will be transferred to the live auction where a representative will bid on behalf of the online bidders. According to Lehman, "Bidders from around world can visit Horse Fever's virtual auction site to bid for a chance to win these wonderful art sculptures from the convenience of their computers."
