Loudcloud, Inc. (Nasdaq:LDCL) and Technical and Management Resources (TMR), Inc. have been awarded a contract by a U.S. government agency to assess and analyze its Web site architecture.
Utilizing Loudcloud's Performance Testing Service, TMR and Loudcloud will conduct stress testing and provide recommendations to the government agency for how to architect their Web site to avoid capacity bottlenecks in the current Web site architecture. Loudcloud's Performance Testing Services include both comprehensive stress testing and analysis to determine possible bottlenecks in Web architecture that could limit the performance or stability of a Web site. Loudcloud engineers then provide recommendations to improve the site's architecture to improve performance and reliability.
"Loudcloud has years of experience managing and maintaining complex Web sites and is pleased to be partnering with TMR to provide our services to the U.S. government," said Jim Dimitriou, executive vice president of customer operations for Loudcloud. "Loudcloud's Performance Testing Service leverages that knowledge to help corporations and government agencies identify bottlenecks and improve the performance, stability and scalability of a Web site's architecture."
TMR has provided support to U.S. government for approximately three years, working with the Information Resource Management Division (IRMD) responsible for delivering business and mission services. "Web infrastructure must be highly reliable and available to users nationwide," said Linda Carr, President of Technical and Management Resources, Incorporated. "Not only is it important to develop a system that supports the government agency's business and mission process, it is also important to ensure high availability to these systems by identifying and eliminating any bottlenecks that may degrade performance."
This contract marks the first time Loudcloud and TMR have worked together. TMR currently provides a variety of services to the U.S. government and other customers, which include strategic planning, market analysis, systems design and implementation, training, and on-going operations and maintenance support (HelpDesk). TMR's goal is to augment the customer's staff and provide the technical and management resources required through the system's full life cycle in support of that customer's day-to-day mission and business activities. TMR's 2001 Federal 100 Award is a testament to the type of support provided.
