VANCOUVER, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 13, 2002

Micro Sharp Technology, Inc. a technology provider of thin server solutions today announced an effective way to head off virus attacks that are now making their way into your cellular phones.

"In developing our ePage option to the Netule EM-I email server, we came across the possibility of email virus attacks that could be transferred from email to cellular phones," stated Dale Zeutenhorst General Manager of Micro Sharp Technology and the Netule line of products. "We found that an effective way to secure wireless devices from email virus attacks is through the proper configuration of our Netule EM-I email server in conjunction with our Netule FW-I enterprise firewall. When you get the email and firewall products working together, the risk of destructive virus attacks is virtually eliminated."

FW-I provides incredibly tight security features that block intruders from your crucial Data including: A Packet-Filter-Firewall with Dynamic Stateful Packet Inspection, Portscan Detection, NAT, Masquerading and Anti Spoofing, Application Level Gateway with Proxies for HTTP, HTTPS, SMTP, DNS and SOCKS 4.0/5.0, Content Filtering, Spam-Blocker and Virus Protection, VPN-Functionality for IPSec with IKE or PPTP, Automated Up2Date Service, Remote Management, Reporting and Traffic Accounting.

EM-I provides some built in security features that block intruders from your crucial data. Only web browsers capable of making a secure connection may access EM-I. Once logged in, administrators can be assigned different levels of access. In doing this, system administrators can be granted total privileges, while assistant administrators can be restricted to basic functions such as adding users.

EM-I and FW-I are based on Linux, an extremely powerful, stable and reliable UNIX like operating system. Netule servers have been known to be up for hundreds of days, unlike other operating systems used in business applications today.

Netule products are available through the Micro Sharp Technology distribution channel.
