InfoSec World Conference and Expo 2002
MELBOURNE, Fla. & ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 2002
Distinguished security analyst Pete Lindstrom of the Hurwitz Group will discuss a number of critical new directions in computer security during two presentations at the InfoSec World Conference and Expo 2002 in Orlando next week. "Future Trends in Security and Information Assurance" will be presented two nights, Monday, March 18 and Tuesday, March 19. The free presentations will be held in the Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) booth, #517, from 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM each evening, at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.
Mr. Lindstrom, who has been closely following the computer security industry for many years, will examine several new technologies that companies are now employing to keep pace with the dramatic increase in viruses and hacking activities over the past year. One of the new solutions that Mr. Lindstrom will discuss will be behavior-based, intrusion-prevention tools. These tools introduce an important new layer of security for companies to add to their set of network security components.
"We'll be touching on a number of new solutions that companies really need to look at to ensure the integrity of their information," said Lindstrom. "At the top of list are behavior-based tools, which are some of the first proactive solutions we have seen that stop malicious behaviors before they can execute."
