Kraft Foods Names Brearton as Senior Vice President Finance for Kraft Foods International

NORTHFIELD, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 15, 2002
Kraft Foods Inc. (NYSE: KFT) a global leader in branded foods and beverages, announced that David Brearton, 41, formerly Vice President Finance European Union, has been named Senior Vice President Finance Kraft Foods International.
In this position, Brearton will report to Roger Deromedi, Co-CEO Kraft Foods Inc. and President and CEO, Kraft Foods International.
"Dave brings a strong financial background, extensive business knowledge and proven leadership capabilities to his new role," said Deromedi. "While in our European Union region, Dave led the financial organization of that region for over 3 years and was an instrumental part in further establishing Kraft's strong position in this very important region."
Brearton joined Kraft in Canada in 1984 as a financial analyst and has since progressed through a number of financial roles across the organization including Controller, Coffee Away-from-Home (Canada); Director of European Financial Planning and Analysis, (Switzerland), Director of KFI's Financial Planning and Analysis (New York), and Vice President Finance, Northern Europe (UK).
