ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 19, 2002

Impulse Media Technologies Inc., (OTCBB:IMTI) today announced that it has integrated its wireless web music download technology with Portal Software's (Nasdaq:PRSF) customer management and billing platform, Infranet(R). The company also announced that it has signed a joint marketing agreement with Portal Software to showcase the revenue generating opportunities enabled by this integration.

Impulse Media's innovative music download service allows cell phone users to identify and purchase music while it's playing on the radio with the convenience of having it billed directly to the user's cell phone account. The music track is downloaded instantly to the user's PC or the CD can be shipped to the billing address.

"Impulse Media has developed an innovative technology allowing radio stations to interact directly with their listeners through their cell phones and PDA's," stated Sanjay Swamy, senior director of market development for digital media at Portal Software. "And the ability for radio listeners to use their cell phone as a remote-control to download to their PC the music they are listening to on the radio is exciting. The integration of this innovative mCommerce application with Portal's customer management and billing platform creates new revenue generating opportunities for wireless operators and content providers and is a further proof point of Portal's ability to support innovative services with the Infranet platform."

Impulse Media's President and CEO Ted Boyle said, "As we prepare to launch our breakthrough wireless technology on a large scale, the agreement with an industry leader like Portal Software is a very significant development. When purchasing products, including downloading music, consumers and m-commerce participants (including record companies, wireless operators, radio stations, and Impulse Media) insist on a seamless and secure transaction, and that is where Portal Software Inc. is the recognized industry leader."

It was also announced that Impulse will showcase the technology at Portal Software's booth at the CTIA Wireless 2002 Show (Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association) in Orlando, FL (March 18-20, 2002 - booth 2683). Portal Software and Impulse Media will continue to collaborate on developing the integration between the two technologies and capitalize on global joint marketing opportunities.
