Law Offices Of Charles J. Piven, P.A. today announced that a securities class action has been commenced in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, on behalf of shareholders who acquired the common stock of Lumenis, Ltd. ("Lumenis") (Nasdaq:LUME) between January 7, 2002 and February 28, 2002, inclusive (the "Class Period") against Defendant Lumenis and certain of its officers.

The action alleges that Defendants violated federal securities laws by issuing false and misleading information regarding the status of an SEC investigation.

No class has yet been certified in the above action. Until a class is certified, you are not represented by counsel unless you retain one.
