NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 26, 2002
More than 130 Online Properties To Leverage
DoubleClick's Ad Serving and Email Technologies
DoubleClick Inc. (NASDAQ: DCLK), the leading digital marketing solutions company, today announced that Reed Business Information (RBI), formerly Cahners Business Information, a leading provider of critical information and marketing solutions, has selected DoubleClick's DART for Publishers service to serve ads to its 135 online properties, and DoubleClick's DARTmail service to deliver email newsletters to its more than 1.5 million unique subscribers.
This deal allows Reed Business Information (RBI) to standardize its ad serving and email delivery across all of its sites and to leverage the flexibility of DART and DARTmail to integrate the reporting data of both services into RBI's proprietary inventory management tool. Prior to today's announcement, Reed Business Information has used a variety of ad serving and email systems, which made accurate and comparative reporting across all of its sites impossible.
"Internet marketing is a critical growth area for RBI, and aligning our business with DoubleClick puts us in a great position. Based on our findings, DART and DARTmail were the only products in the industry that provided the flexibility and reporting that we needed to support our advertisers and enable inventory management," said Steve Reiss, senior vice president, RBI. "In addition, we found that DoubleClick was the only company capable of providing us with true global support and future product options from one single source. Adding DART and DARTmail to the content management and streaming media tools we have through a division of our company, eLogic, strengthens our Internet capabilities."
DART for Publishers and DARTmail are two components of DoubleClick's suite of products that provide comprehensive ad and email management products to over 1,600 marketers and publishers worldwide.
"In addition to requiring a robust, scalable and globally supported product set, Reed Business Information had very specific requests regarding reporting data and inventory management," said Chris Saridakis, Senior Vice President of DoubleClick's Global TechSolutions division. "This deal displays the immense flexibility of DoubleClick's product suite and leverages the open system architecture that we offer to provide the solutions that our customers demand."
