Fairchild Semiconductor Appoints Min Young Park Vice President of Finance and CFO of Fairchild Korea; Supports Fairchild's Rapid Growth in the Asia Region

Fairchild Semiconductor International (NYSE: FCS), the leading global supplier of high performance products for multiple end markets, today announced the appointment of Min Young Park to the position of vice president of Finance and chief financial officer for Fairchild Korea. Park will report directly to Jonathan Michael, vice president of Finance for Worldwide Operations and D.J. Kim, president of Fairchild Korea.
The decision to provide local support at the highest finance level was driven by Fairchild's rapid market penetration in Asia. "Fairchild Semiconductor continues to gain market share in Asia, a region that accounted for more than 70% of our revenues last year," said Joe Martin, executive vice president and CFO of Fairchild Semiconductor. "Fairchild's presence in Korea encompasses development, manufacturing, sales and distribution. Recently, we announced the opening of a fully automated, 164,000 square foot warehouse based in South Korea that serves as the hub of distribution for Northeast Asia. We're pleased to support this growth with a seasoned, financial professional such as Mr. Park."
Park brings more than 20 years of experience in finance and international business for high technology and chemical manufacturing companies. Most recently, Park was a general partner in QNIX International, providing consulting and advisory services to a broad range of companies. Previously, he held senior management positions with SK Telecom Co. Ltd. and ARCO Chemical Company. Park began his career at Deloitte & Touche as an audit manager.
