CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 5, 2002

Xybernaut(R) Corporation (Nasdaq: XYBR) today announced formation of a Reseller Advisory Committee (RAC) initially consisting of 10 leading corporations.

The council will exchange ideas and know-how, develop industry standards, and promote a greater understanding of the benefits of wearable computing.

The RAC, which will hold semi-annual meetings, emphasizes real life applications of mobile and wearable computing technologies such as quality assurance on a manufacturing line, increased productivity at an installation site, or enhanced inventory management in a warehouse.

The first meeting of the advisory group will be held this week during the seventh annual International Conference on Wearable Computing (ICWC) here in Chicago. A similar advisory group, Xybernaut's Customer Advisory Board (CAB), was formed last October.

Organizations initially participating in the Xybernaut Reseller Advisory Council are:

- ADS-2

- Aviation Automation

- Hetek

- Microvision

- Mobility Concepts

- Moore Medical

- MSCS

- Oxford Technologies

- Professional I.T. Pty. Ltd.

Each organization participating in the RAC is a current member of Team Xybernaut, the company's channel sales program which grew more than three-fold in 2001 to contain more than 75 companies by the end of the year.

Based on preliminary discussions, the RAC will discuss a number of issues related to wearable computers: enterprise implementation, system integration, application development, ergonomics, packaging-transportability, personal hygiene, product availability/quality and training. On an ongoing basis, the RAC will identify and prioritize these and other critical technical and strategic business issues related to wearable computing and provide feedback to Xybernaut for use in product planning and applications development.

"Our primary objective is to help organizations gain access to the information they need, anywhere they need it," stated Lou Panetta, vice president of marketing with Mobility Concepts -- a Team Xybernaut member based in the Chicago, IL area. "Mobility Concepts is proud to be associated with Team Xybernaut and the Xybernaut RAC as we strive collectively to produce the next generation of mobile computers and wireless communication technologies."

"The Xybernaut RAC facilitates the exchange of ideas and know-how, cultivates industry standards and promotes a greater understanding of the strategic benefits of wearable computing in corporate settings," stated Dewayne Adams, senior vice president and chief strategy officer for Xybernaut Corporation. "The Xybernaut RAC concentrates on real-life applicability of mobile and wearable computing technologies."

Organizations interested in joining Team Xybernaut or learning more about the program should contact Mike D'Amico, vice president of channel sales for Xybernaut, via telephone at 703-631-6925 or via e-mail at channelsales@xybernaut.com.
