Dantz Retrospect Named `World-Class Winner' by Network World Magazine; Company's Backup Software Touted for Speed, Convenience, Easy Management

Dantz Development Corporation, a premier provider of backup software, had the "World-Class Winner" designation bestowed upon its Retrospect Server product by Network World in an April 22 article entitled, "Dantz's Retrospect Server Edition: A New Twist to Windows Backup."

Dantz's Retrospect Server Edition 5.6 received a total score of 4.55 out of a maximum of 5.

Calling Retrospect's methodology "unique," Henderson praised the software's speed and ease of use. He found Retrospect to be easy to install and restoring groups of files or an entire volume simple. Henderson also touted Retrospect's ability to perform speedy backup and restore operations.

Retrospect Server Backup supported all of the writeable media in the testing lab, including tape drives, autochangers, CD-RW, DVD-RAM and other devices. Testing was performed on a Windows 2000 Advanced Server and a Windows 98SE PC using a variety of tape drives and CD-RW drives.
