TEMPE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 2002
Integrated Information Systems Inc. ("IIS") (Nasdaq:IISX), an innovative technology and business consultancy, today announced that Gaumer Co., a major supplier of industrial electric heaters, heating systems, and controls, has deployed a new Customer Sales Portal (www.gaumer.com) designed to market, sell and manage their extensive line of products to industrial process engineers.
The portal provides customers with valuable product specification and industry information that reinforces clients' purchasing decision. Gaumer Co.'s portal solution integrates product availability, inventory, customer credit limits, accounts receivable, shipping costs, and order tracking.
The Gaumer Sales Portal is designed to help customers navigate quickly through numerous product specification options to easily find a particular product and to provide a simple purchasing process. The site's functionality allows a visitor to enter a competitor's product number and search for the equivalent Gaumer Co. product.
In addition to product information, the site maintains a world-class library of industry reference information and literature for their client's use including product data sheets, catalogs and brochures, installation manuals, operation and maintenance information, and a glossary of standard industry terms.
Resources are also provided to assist clients in computing common industry calculations necessary to configure the correct product specifications.
IIS portal experts provided strategic and technical direction to integrate Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 and Windows 2000 technologies with the company's existing SQL Server back-office fulfillment system.
"Gaumer's new Sales Portal has significantly increased our national exposure to our customer base," commented Norm Bond, general manager for Gaumer Co.
"We wanted an e-business tool that would be easy for our clients to use and would contain information and resources that would help them save time and money. We chose to work with IIS because of its ability to quickly understand our business and design and integrate a scaleable portal that reflects Gaumer's 40,000 products."
"The Gaumer Co. is a great example of a mid-sized company strategically using new technologies to manage and integrate large amounts of information both internally and externally," said Jim Garvey, chairman, chief executive officer and president of IIS.
"IIS' partnership with Gaumer Co. has resulted in a Sales Portal that allows Gaumer to extend its existing sales channel to the Internet without adding staff or changing business processes to accommodate the increase in orders, thus providing a real impact by increasing revenue without increasing the associated sales costs.
"IIS is excited to help clients find technology solutions that make improvement in their bottom line."
